Selected Public Projects
	Islandwood School. Browne Wheeler Engineers, Inc. worked successfully with a large team of architects, landscape architects, design specialists, contractors and owner’s representatives to plan and design civil aspects of the world class, environmental learning center located on a 256-acre forested property on Bainbridge Island. The project earned a LEED Gold Certificate for sustainable, green design. During project development, we designed site access, stormwater management, and utilities to support the project while providing maximum protection to the forest environment. We have recently completed design and construction of an expansion of the facility working with the original design team.
	Battle Point Park Soccer Fields. We prepared plans and assisted in construction administration for a two-field artificial turf soccer field in Bainbridge Island in an existing park. The project included design of grading, a subsurface drainage system, walkways and an upgraded parking facility.
	Bainbridge School District Maintenance Facility. We prepared plans and specifications for an expansion of a school district maintenance facility. The project consisted of designing parking facilities and utilities for a new maintenance building. We designed a stormwater system which combines underground detention with bioretention “rain gardens” to minimize cost and to provide required water quality treatment.
